~ the silence after the television has been turned off is almost deafening sometimes, but it’s such an enjoyable sound (or…non-sound).
~ when moving house, you should always get many more boxes than you think you’ll need, because you will always find things lurking under beds and on top shelves. Lurky things that you’ve forgotten are there (and therefore should probably throw out because you obviously haven’t needed them in the past three-and-a-half years) and didn’t factor into the boxes-needed count.
~ little boys are verrrrrrry good at negotiating things like extra time to play, or how many kumara chips they have to eat before the get pudding.
~ the sound of my baby giggling is one of the best sounds ever. EVERRRRRRRRR.
~ when my mother-in-law stayed with us last weekend, she went to the local dairy for milk and came back with lots of chocolate fish. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that neither Tall nor Tiny like marshmallow (or that Pickle is too young, in my opinion), and I did a silent jig because I knew that I’d have to eat them all. Such. A. Martyr.
~ carrots are awesome: cheap, crunchy, easy to prepare, so versatile…so orange.
