If you’re a bit of a book lover, like me, you’ll always be searching for new authors to discover and genres to enjoy, but might need a bit of inspiration. Some of the best books I’ve read have been surprise discoveries, from assorted lists and recommendations from friends.
If you haven’t already, go and take a look at ‘1001 Books to Read Before You Die’, a fab new(ish) blog that has set out to review all 1001 books on Peter Boxall’s list. The list has books from pre-1700 right up to now, and some of my all-time favourites are there….as well as a heap that I haven’t even heard of, which is quite exciting really.
Best of all, they are currently running a competition celebrating the 50th review! The prize? The book of your choice from the list. And that’s pretty awesome, if you ask me!
To enter, all you need to do is have a look through the list, and leave a comment on this post, stating which book from the list you’d love to own, and why. Pretty simple, right?
